This wetland reserve in Weymouth hosts a variety of wildlife species. Species include Marsh Harriers, Bitterns, and Hobbys, as well as commoner migrants such as Swallows, Sand Martins, and Swifts. Marsh Harriers are now breeding on the reserve.
Plants include Southern Marsh, Pyramidal and Bee Orchids, while insects include Small Eggar and Scarlet Tiger Moths, lots of Butterfly species, as well as various beetles.
